In the early days a licence was two Irish pounds, followed by your test, even earlier than that at one time you could just buy a full licence, how life has changed.
A lot has changed since then, the Laws, Machines and their technology have moved on, Health and Safety is the big issue in today’s world. With the introduction of CBT (Compulsory based training) for motorcyclists through the RSA, unlike our early days when you had a go on a friend’s machine to learn your skill or borrowed your Dads bike on the QT like I did.
Those days have passed, but all is not at a loss, for today’s Newcomer to biking or are you the Born again biker, there are Adi/RSA qualified instructors to instruct you in the skills of Motorcycle control, and with the ever changing designs and technology in bikes it is essential and part of Motorcycling to keep our skills updated along with these changes. Whether you are new to biking or returning to your old hobby of biking by taking advantage of a Motorcycling training course you will improve your riding skills by 100% and later you can further advance your skills by taking an Advanced riders course which can help to reduce you Insurance costs.
For the new comer to Biking, all training takes place on campus prior to your Instructor taking you for on road training, thus insuring that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to ride safely, legally and in a safe manner, while achieving an acceptable rate of progress. There are Motorcycle Refresher courses available covering general motorcycle skills, trip planning, riding with passengers, Group riding, riding abroad in Europe .
There are bikes available for training purposes to suit each class A,A1 M.
